Established in 1999 and now resembling more of a music media group with the label as its epicentre, the recipe for Defected Records’ success over 25 years has been its ability to evolve and adapt within the industry, while maintaining robust cultural values and musical identity. One of the longest running independent labels of its kind, Defected continues to advocate tirelessly for the cultural impact of house music in the UK and has remained a well-respected constant in the music industry for a quarter century.

The London-born imprint has grown into one of the most recognised event brands on the planet - Ibiza residencies, a Croatia festival pulling 5,000+ devotees from across the globe each summer, and sold-out shows at Printworks, DRUMSHEDS, The Warehouse Project, House of Yes NYC and a Glastonbury stage thrown in for good measure. Their 2024 World Tour broke new ground in six countries, with Glitterbox and D4 D4NCE both firing across Ibiza alongside the flagship brand.
